This Privacy Policy describes how Btflg ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application Btflg ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your data is handled.

1. Information We Collect

We design our App with privacy in mind. The majority of your data stays on your device. We collect the following types of information:

1.1 Information You Provide

• Profile Information: Your display name and profile picture that you set within the App. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Photos (Camera and Gallery Access): When you use our contact/support form to report issues, you may attach photos from your camera or gallery. These photos are transmitted only when you submit a support request.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Identifiers: We may collect your Google Advertising ID (GAID) for analytics, attribution, and advertising purposes. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
• Device Information: We may collect device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how users interact with the App.
• Crash Reports: We may collect crash logs and error reports to identify and fix technical issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the App's functionality
• To send push notifications about matches and predictions (with your consent)

3.1 Analytics and Attribution

3.2 Push Notifications

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): We may use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. When you enable notifications, your device token is collected and stored to send you notifications about upcoming matches and prediction results. Firebase Privacy Policy

3.3 Football Data

• API-Football: We use third-party sports data APIs to provide match information, team statistics, and live scores. These services receive API requests from our servers but do not receive your personal information.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle your information.

4. Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your match predictions and prediction history
• Favorite teams and bookmarked matches
• Match notes you add
• App preferences and notification settings
• Prediction accuracy statistics
• Cached match data for offline access

This data is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences and Hive database. It is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly stated. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the application.

5. Photos and Camera

The App may request access to your device's camera and photo gallery for the following purposes:

• Profile Picture: You may select a photo from your gallery to use as your profile picture. This image is stored locally on your device only.
• Support Requests: When contacting support, you may optionally attach photos to help describe issues. These photos are transmitted only when you submit a support request.

We do not access your camera or photos without your explicit action. Photos are not collected, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties except when you voluntarily submit them through the support form.

6. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications to remind you about upcoming matches or prediction results. When you enable notifications:

• Your device token (FCM token) is collected and may be stored on our servers to deliver notifications
• Local notifications are scheduled using Android's WorkManager for match reminders

You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App. Disabling notifications will stop all push and local notifications from the App.

7. Calendar and Reminders

The App may allow you to save match events and reminders to your device's system calendar. When used, all calendar data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties. You can control calendar permissions through your device settings at any time.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Local data encryption where supported by the device
• Limited data collection (privacy by design)

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action to delete such information.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access and Deletion: Since most data is stored locally on your device, you can access and delete it through the App's settings or by clearing app data.
• Advertising ID: You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising in your device's Settings > Google > Ads.
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings or within the App.
• Camera/Photos: You can revoke camera and storage permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Account Deletion: To request deletion of any data stored on our servers (such as FCM tokens), please contact us at the email below.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may also have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

11. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:

• Local Data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
• FCM Tokens: Retained while you have notifications enabled; deleted upon request or when no longer needed
• Analytics Data: Retained according to third-party service provider policies

12. International Data Transfers

If you are accessing our App from outside the country where our servers are located, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in different jurisdictions. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
